Based in the coastal community of Blue Hill, Sage Collins Surveying, Inc. has been serving the State of Maine, specializing in coastal and island properties, since 1980. We have records of thousands of surveys in our private company files. Sage Collins Surveying, Inc. provides a variety of quality surveying services; from boundary and topographic surveys to land use consultation and court testimony. We are a team of dedicated professionals (the newest member of our company has been with us for over 10 years). We are large enough to handle any of your surveying needs and small enough to provide the personal service you expect.
Company owner and licensed Professional Land Surveyor, Sage Collins is a Blue Hill native and has over 40 years of experience in the surveying profession and a lifetime knowledge of the Maine countryside. He is a member of the Maine Society of Land Surveyors and the American Society of Surveying and Mapping. Sage is past President of the Penobscot/Hancock Chapter of Land Surveyors.
Our field crew features a licensed surveyor with over 30 years experience and a forestry graduate with more than 10 years of surveying experience. Our crew can efficiently and accurately survey your property and its improvements and clearly monument and delineate your property corners and boundaries. We work with state of the art Leica, Topcon and Trimble surveying instruments which electronically integrate the field measurements with the office computer.
Our award-wining computer draftsman with over 15 years of experience provides full color survey plans in the industry standard AutoCAD .dwg format as well as other image formats such as .dxf, .pdf and .jpg. We are able to provide architects and engineers with direct electronic files of boundary and topographic surveys.
We offer both sub-centimeter and sub-meter G. P. S. (Global Positioning System) surveying for boundary location and coastal flood elevation determination.
Concise deed descriptions of your property bounds can be prepared and supplied to your attorney in an electronic format. Thorough and professional deed research is contracted through an outside abstractor / attorney who has worked with us for 20 years, supplying you with a detailed report of your properties' deed history. Other land services can be contracted through our company including wetland delineation and wastewater disposal system design.
